Artists Unanimous Community Guidelines
AU is a creative space for self-expression, legacy, and connection. These guidelines reflect our values and set expectations for how we create, share, and engage. By participating in AU, you agree to follow these rules to help protect the integrity of the community.
Creativity Comes First
AU is designed for people who create. Our community values making over consuming. Whether it is visual art, writing, music, or memory preservation, every original creation contributes to the culture of AU. Participation in AU means contributing constructively and prioritizing your creative expression.
All Voices Belong
We welcome people of all identities, backgrounds, and perspectives. We encourage all forms of self-expression that are respectful and do not cause harm. AU does not tolerate discriminatory, hateful, or exclusionary behavior in any form. Diversity of thought, style, and storytelling is encouraged and protected.
Progress Over Perfection
The purpose of AU is to support creative completion. Perfection is not the goal. Members are encouraged to share unfinished ideas, works-in-progress, and personal drafts. Mistakes and imperfections are part of the process and are not reasons for criticism. Judgmental behavior is not permitted.
Finish What You Start
AU encourages creators to complete their ideas. Completion does not mean perfection. It means sharing something meaningful and whole on your own terms. This supports the broader goal of preserving legacy and giving your work long-term relevance.
Every Work Includes Its Story
Each creation should include its context. This may be a title, author name, a short explanation, or description of inspiration. Context provides meaning and ensures clarity around authorship and purpose. It also supports future understanding of the work. Members are expected to include truthful and accurate information.
Privacy Is Your Right
AU gives members full control over the visibility of their work. You may choose to share creations with your close circle, selected individuals, or the entire AU community. AU will not make your work public without your explicit action or consent. You may change visibility settings at any time.
No Political or Commercial Use
AU is not a platform for political, ideological, or commercial agendas. Members may not post political messaging, partisan content, advertisements, or sponsored material. Promotional content is only allowed in clearly designated areas with prior approval. Violations may result in content removal or suspension.
Support and Mentorship is encouraged
AU fosters a culture of shared learning. Experienced members are invited to support new creators. Constructive guidance is welcome. Harsh criticism, gatekeeping, or dismissive behavior is not acceptable. All feedback should be focused on supporting growth.
Create, Do Not Copy
Members must respect copyright and intellectual property rights. Share only original work that you created or have permission to use. If your work involves collaborators, give proper credit. Do not post work copied from other artists, platforms, or public sources without permission. Plagiarism or copyright violations will result in content removal and may lead to permanent suspension.
Kindness Is Required
All communication within AU must be respectful, professional, and thoughtful. Disagreements must remain civil. Personal attacks, sarcasm intended to offend, and passive-aggressive behavior are not tolerated. Kindness is a baseline requirement for participation.
Community Participation Rules
Respect and Inclusion
Discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on race, gender, age, disability, religion, identity, or experience level is prohibited. Everyone must feel welcome to participate and contribute fully.
Responsibility for Content
You are responsible for what you share. Post only content that you own or have full rights to publish. Do not share personal information or creative work that belongs to others without explicit permission. AU prohibits content that includes hate speech, sexual content, graphic violence, personal threats, or illegal activity.
Communication and Conduct
Provide constructive feedback when commenting on others' work. Avoid behavior that disrupts the platform, such as spam, excessive posting, or trolling. Handle disagreements privately or with help from moderators. Escalations that violate these expectations may lead to warnings or removal.
Legal and Ethical Compliance
All members must comply with applicable laws related to copyright, data privacy, and intellectual property. Any action that misrepresents, misuses, or violates the rights of others may result in legal action or account termination.
Commercial Promotion and Marketplace Activity
Advertising, product placement, or self-promotion is not permitted unless it is pre-approved or posted in a designated section. AU does not mediate or guarantee any transactions between users. Members engaging in trades or services do so at their own risk.
Rule Changes and Updates
AU reserves the right to modify these rules. Significant changes will be communicated to members through official channels. By continuing to use AU, you accept the latest version of these guidelines.
Moderation and Enforcement
Moderators may edit, restrict, or remove content that violates these rules. Serious or repeated offenses may result in permanent suspension. AU reserves the right to enforce these rules consistently and without exception.
Leaving the Community
You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. For full account removal, contact support. If your account is banned, all associated content and privileges will be revoked permanently.
